What Branch Should I Grow First?
In thinking about attracting more birds to company’s tree (it represents a business in the forest of competition), which branch should a business focus on first? We are working with an established consultant who has served more than 500 clients since 1991. The roots of the business’s tree are solid – it has a coherent brand, the message is strong and the consultant knows the target audience well.
Yet the business comes through word of mouth – there are no branches on the tree contributing anything. Our strategy is to grow two branches first – the search engine optimization branch and the social media branch, focusing exclusively on LinkedIn. Both will work together to bring in highly qualified prospects who would benefit greatly from the consultant’s services.
